The Nickel Xmas Market is named after the Paul Jungnickel Home, a division of Kungwini Welfare Organisation.
The market is the biggest annual job creation and fundraising project for the organisation. This year we celebrate our 17 th year. With over 200 exhibitions from toys to exclusive home décor products. We have something for everyone. This year the market runs from 25 November 2017 to 10 December 2017. Open daily from 09h00 to 18h00. The market is held on the organisation’s premises.
Kungwini Welfare Organisation is situated in Zwavelpoort, East of Pretoria, on a stunning piece of land that Dr Jungnickel donated to the Cripple Care Association in 1983. Paul Jungnickel was the only son of Dr & Mrs Jungnickel. Paul was physically challenged and died at a young age in a motorcycle accident. In 1983 our journey started with the Paul Jungnickel Home for disabled adults. Today the home provides a residential care facility for 140 disabled adults.
The market is also a huge platform for KWO’s Protective Workshop to showcase the beautiful products that they make.
This market is not to be missed!
I am a parent of a resident at Paul Jungnicel Home. For the past 5 years the Nickel Xmas Market has been the biggest event of the year for our family because we love our disabled child very much and this market bring so much joy to her life. It is one of the best markets in Pretoria and a must see if you haven't been here.
